Lou Burns is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Westerville, OH who attends The Columbus Academy. Young, medium, developing build, shows present strength in frame. Looks the part behind the plate, good setup in crouch. Shows solid footwork and receiving, gains ground on throws, developing arm strength, could shorten up transfer. Right handed hitter, starts with hands close to body in setup, late hand drop trigger. Flashes ability to get extended and whip the barrel, slightly uphill plane to swing, developing feel for barrel but shows ability to backspin the ball. Excellent student.
