Mark Armendarez is a 2015 OF/2B with a 5-9 163 lb. frame from Hercules, CA who attends Hercules. Compact frame, wide set shoulders, strong build. Noisy approach at the plate, short compact swing plane, lacks extension, uppercut swing plane with some backside collapse. Pull approach but managed to cover the outside corner well in game at-bats. Short arm action on throws from both the outfield and infield, good carry to throws with solid release time. Also pitched, up to 79 from a three quarters arm slot with a clean arm action and good depth to curveball. Good student.
