Austin Kirkpatrick is a 2016 C/OF, RHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from St. Martinville, LA who attends Teurlings Catholic. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows sound actions behind the plate, gains ground with lower half, quick transfer with a short release, accurate throws to second base with present arm strength that will continue to develop. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Stays tall on back side, drifts to front side early. Fastball topped at 78 mph and shows an 11-5 curveball with dropping life at 60 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a medium base and a low hand set. Upper body swing, stays balanced throughout, short path to the ball, hands work through swing and shows ability to hit to all fields with carry to pull side. Good student.
