Carlos Lara is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep HS. Has an athletic frame and build. Posted a 7.35 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, showed very fluid actions and movements to the baseball. Had quick hands and clean transfers and release into online and accurate throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base, small bat wrap, and high hand set. Lower half shifts well into contact and hitting position. Had quick hands at the plate with good barrel whip through the zone generating pop off the barrel. Ball does have carry to it, especially to pull side. Great student.
