Samuel Mitchell is a 2016 OF/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Anderson. Large, athletic frame with longer limbs and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, uses a full arm action, shows strength and accuracy on throws, arm strength will continue to develop with the incorporation of his lower half into throws. Right-handed hitter, stays balanced through swing well, slight bar at start of swing. Does a nice job of getting the barrel through the zone, quick bat with an aggressive approach, showed comfort and strength to hit to the opposite field with intent. Has some lift in swing with carry off the barrel when squared up. Very good student.
