2005 Sunshine West Showcase
Brent Conley is a 2006 3B/1B from LaQuinta High School in Indio, CA, with a 5'11", 188 lb. frame. He is a lively athletic kid with a lean body to project more strength and ability to come. He shows good energy to his game and shows he is ready to play right out of the shoot. He is an aggressive defender and is not afraid to leave his feet, and has shown that he can play other positions as well. He has sure hands and has great anticipation on balls with good range. Offensively he is a right handed hitter with the ability to use the whole field and demonstrate quality bat control in batting practice and the showcase games. He looked more relaxed during the showcase games and showed better bat speed and looseness with his swings. Conley is a good looking athlete with some upside and versatility to play at the next level. He is also an outstanding student.
