Derick Engelke is a 2015 OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Gillespie, IL who attends Gillespie HS. Very nice athletic build, long and loose with some present strength and plenty of room for more. 7.26 runner, moves well to the ball in the outfield, shows some arm strength and on line carry. Right handed hitter, starts his hands well away from his body creating length to contact, barrel tends to get into the zone late due to the length, stays balanced through contact and has some strength when the ball is squared, mid to opposite field line drive contact, can improve with some adjustments. Good student.
