Luke Tevyaw is a 2016 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Lakewood, IL who attends Crystal Lake Central HS. Strong compact build. Short quick arm action from a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, stays tall on his backside and works downhill, has some deception and hides the ball, not consistent yet in his mechanics and release. Upper 70's fastball,, topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight with good plane when down in the zone, will come inside with his fastball. Soft curveball with occasional downer depth and bite. Left handed hitter, pre-load and stride approach, uphill swing, aggressive early in the count, best on pitches down in the zone, looks to hit opposite field.
