Dwayne Thomas is a 2016 1B/OF with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Silver Spring, MD who attends Paint Branch HS. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and a strong, mature build. Ran a 5.42 40-yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows nice footwork coming off the base, quick release on throws, shows a fluid arm action with plenty of strength and carry on accurate throws across. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open build and knows how to use strength in swing. Creates solid bat speed coming through the zone and does a nice job of getting the barrel to the ball with hard contact and jump coming off. Has ability to lift the ball with consistent contact to the middle and pull parts of field. Good student. Named to Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
