Nick Logusch is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Ballwin, MO who attends De Smet Jesuit HS. Large build and frame with present strength. Projects for additional strength. Right handed pitcher who works from first base side of rubber with an smooth tempo delivery and high lift at gather. Generates solid lower half drive to the plate from a high 3/4 arm slot with slight cross body action. Lower half drive produces good downhill plane and angle and shows solid arm extension out front on release. Commands fastball on the corner of the zone nicely topping at 86 mph. Fastball has heaviness and produces weak, groundball contact. Curveball has 12/6 shape with good depth and solid break when staying on top of offering at 66 mph. Flashed a changeup with diving actions into right handed hitters. Tools should continue to develop with maturity, projects to be a solid next level athlete. Good student. Named to 2016 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
