Angel Rivas is a 2017 2B/ with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Vega Alta, PR who attends Maestro Ladi. Young, athletic build with quality plenty of room for projectable growth on frame. Switch-hitter, sets up with high hands and squared to the plate, had a better performance from the right side during this event. Pretty short stroke to the ball, rotational swing, has some lift from the right side. Toe tap trigger, shows consistent line drives, will drive the ball more once he continues to fill out physically. Worked out in the infield, fields out in front well, uses two hands for everything, quick feet with good range and projectable actions. Threw 71 MPH accurately across the infield. Ran a 7.30 60 yard dash. Very good student.
