Connor Price is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and nice present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, shows an on line delivery down the mound, upright release with a loose, full, and quick arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, inconsistent release point but shows nice running life when on top and settled in, projects for additional velocity with continued use of lower half. Nice curveball up to 70 mph with sharpness and depth to it, shows 1-7 shape through the zone. Good energy moving towards the ball in the outfield with short steps, fields the ball out front, full and quick arm action, shows solid arm strength up to 92 mph with strong carry to the intended base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow base, lowers hand set at start of swing. Gets the barrel through the zone quickly with smoothness to hand path, looks to lift the ball at point of contact. Front side goes early at times but can create carry to the middle and opposite parts of the field. Named to Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Very good student.
