Richard Donovan is a 2016 2B/RHP with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from New Hyde Park, NY who attends Chaminade HS. Medium, athletic build with a long and lean projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 5.62 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, does a nice job fields the ball out front, long arm action and does a nice job getting on top of accurate throws across, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action coming through the back side. Compact at top of delivery, high leg raise and lands slightly open at release. Fastball shows occasional arm side run topping at 74 mph and did a nice job of filling up the strike zone. Curveball has tight spin with short 11-5 break and changeup flashes fading action. Right-handed hitter, starts with a square stance and a low hand set at the plate. Small shift into contact, gets the barrel through the zone, sprays line drive contact with feel to go opposite field. Very good student.
