Antonio Fernandez is a 2016 RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from East Elmhurst, NY who attends John Bowne HS. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Primary pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action coming through the back. Small rock step delivery with a full hand path and a high leg raise, does a nice job of getting on top of the baseball and creates some extension out front. Fills up the zone with a three pitch mix, fastball topped at 77 mph and throws easily, occasionally will open front side early. Works low in the zone and gets ground ball contact, curveball shows 12-6 shape with tight spin and depth at 68 mph. Flashed a changeup and shows fade to arm side. Good student.
