Levin Waldren is a 2017 RHP with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Eddyville, IA who attends Eddyville-Blakesburg HS. XL frame with high physical projection, long limbs and overall frame. Pitches with very long arm action, gets to near overtop slot with slow-paced, deliberate delivery. Cocks arm back violently in delivery. Uses lower half well. Showed FB/CB combination. Straight FB worked in the mid 60's, topping at 68. Showed 12/6 curveball in the mid 50's with gradual break and depth. Shows the ball very early in delivery, pitches uphill despite size. Hits from open stance with big leg kick trigger. High hand set, stays open with front hip through stride and swing. Consistent contact, flashed some bat speed. Worked out in the infield during defensive drills. Showed long release on accurate throws, topping at 72 MPH. Fielded cleanly. Ran 7.90 60 yard dash.
