Ryan Getz is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Lassiter High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.29 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary first basemen, showed a long arm action, sound footwork, and impressive arm strength up to 85 mph. At the plate, started with a spread stance, even base, high back elbow, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Utilized a gap-to-gap approach with a smooth, line drive swing plane. Slightly long at times with minimal shift from lower half. Continued to improve with round and stayed short to the ball in game. Also pitched, larger rocker step into delivery, higher leg raise past belt, long, full arm action through the back, and threw from an extended three quarter arm slot. Works cross-body at times with a fluid release. Hid the ball well with a fastball that worked 78-84 mph with good arm side life when kept low in the zone. Slider showed 10/4 shape at 69 mph with slightly reduced arm speed from similar slot. Changeup showed slight fade at 73 mph with ability to get over for strikes. Named to the Top Prospect List.
