Michael Jelliff is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from West Long Branch, NJ who attends Shore Regional High School. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and square shoulders, has present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, smooth actions and moves well to the ball, soft hands with a short and compact arm action, occasionally gets under throws, shows carry and strength when on top, projects for more. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and an even stance in the box. Shifts weight well through lower half at start of swing, shows fluidity through the zone with a full swing and direct path to the ball. Hits the ball out front with nice jump off the barrel, leverage to swing path and repeats it well, best contact comes to pull side with solid bat speed and nice balance. Good student.
