Nick Hanson is a 2015 RHP/SS with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Rochester, MN who attends Lourdes. Hanson has a medium sized frame with a lean lanky build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Hanson gets closed at balance point and he uses a high leg lift. He flies open some with his front side and he gets some run on his fastball. Hanson attacks the strike zone and he throws a curveball on an 11/5 plane. His curveball has some bite and he works quickly from the stretch. Defensively Hanson moves athletically to the ball on the infield and he has solid actions. He has arm strength up to 80 MPH with some carry on his throws. Hanson is a switch hitter with a similar approach from both sides of the plate. He has a busy set up with some bat speed. Excellent student.
