Nick DiTomasso is a 5'7" 145 pound 2007 infielder from Walnut Creek, California who attends Northgate High School. He has a lean athletic build who is very compact. He makes good contact at the plate and has very good pitch recognition. Nick showed good bat speed with a line drive approach. He starts slightly open but closes off upon contact. He seems to be a pesky lead off type hitter who will frustrate many pitchers. DiTomasso ran a 7.20 60 but showed better speed when he ran the bases. Nick has a very strong arm that is suited more for a shortstop and he showed it off in the workout by throwing 80 mph across the infield. DiTomasso has good accuracy and carry on his throws. He has soft hands and a solid glove making him a solid infielder. Nick is a solid player who hustles 100% of the time. He is a good follow who is a good student as well.
