2005 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Kyle Vincent is a 2006 1B/RHP with a 6'1'', 195 lb. frame from Metairie, Louisiana, who attends Jesuit High School. Defensively he has nice hands at first base. He fields ground balls cleanly, and he also showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt with soft hands and good reactions. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who keeps his hands and weight back well. Vincent shows good bat speed through the hitting zone, and has the ability to hit the ball deep in his stance. He has a short and compact bat path to the ball, and he hits line drives from foul line to foul line. He has projectable power and he just knows how to hit. Vincent should be a middle of the order run producer at the next level. He also pitched at the event and topped out at 80 mph with his fastball. He finishes his pitches well from a high 3/4 arm slot, and he shows solid control. Vincent has great upside at the plate, and he is a good student as well.
