Steven Ouellette is a 2016 2B/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Grossmont HS. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, circles the ball well and incorporates lower half into actions, fields the ball out front, quick transfer and gets rid of the ball, shorter arm action and gets on top of throws, athletic when charging in, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Hands pulled bat at start of swing, small lower half shift into contact. Repeats swing well and finds the barrel, tools project well with added strength. Sound contact approach, line drive swing plane with comfort hitting to all fields. Very good student.
