Andrew Legro is a 5'10" 155 pound 2006 outfielder and left handed pitcher from Jupiter, Florida who has a medium frame and an athletic body. He showed good speed by running a 7.24 in the 60 during the workout. Also during the workout, he threw 80 mph from the outfield and was very accurate with a high release. In the outfield he has very smooth actions and showed good range. He can really go get it in the outfield. Legro is a contact type hitter with a line drive swing plane and makes consistent hard contact. He has a compact swing with good rhythm in his approach. He hits with a narrow base and a slightly open stance and then steps closed to drive the ball. On the mound, Legro has a very loose arm with minimal effort. He uses a drop and drive delivery and uses a full windup. His fastball has good arm side run at 74 mph. He has a decent curveball with late action at 67 mph. His change up was at 66 mph and had good late sink and fade. Andrew is also a good student.
