Raul Hernandez is a 2017 C with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Del Mar HS. Short compact build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, back side hitter with a leg pull back load, uphill swing plane with a high finish, looking to pull and lift the ball, has some strength at contact and is aggressive, hits from under the ball and uppercut swing plane creates some swing and miss issues. Has good lower half flexibility behind the plate and gets low in his set up, moves into his throws well with sound repeatable footwork, makes accurate throws, 2.11 best pop time.
