Travis Anderson is a 2006 catcher from San Ramon, California with a large frame and thick athletic build. He has good core strength with a solid build but still has some room to pack on some pounds. Defensively, he has good balance from a solid base and good footwork. Travis has a strong arm with consistent on the bag accuracy. During the workout, he had a top velocity of 69 mph and a best pop time of 2.14. He showed good speed for a catcher by running a 7.49 60. Anderson hits from a balanced stance with a good load and a small stride into contact. He has a short compact stroke with quick hands to the ball and good bat speed from a line drive swing plane. Travis makes solid contact and shows power from gap to gap. He is a solid defensive catcher with a projectable bat at the next level. Travis is a good student.
