Daniel Shubert is a 2017 1B/3B, OF with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Ambler, PA who attends Chestnut Hill Academy. Large frame with strong, well-proportioned present build to go along with good remaining projection on body. Posted a 7.52 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits with high hand set and slight bat waggle pre-swing, rotational swing with good hip torque and overall weight transfer into contact. Swing is naturally lofted and built for power, has serious leverage at times when fully shifted, big time strength off the barrel, swing can get long at times but strength doesn't diminish, excellent power into both gaps with ability to hit HR's at present, more consistent power is in future for sure. Showed good athleticism and actions at 1B, quality defensive potential, stays down on the ball well and fields clean, pivots well and shows solid arm strength and accuracy on throws, topping at 74 MPH across the diamond. Very good student.
