Brandon Wreckler is a 2017 C with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Elizabeth, NJ who attends Elizabeth. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and has a projectable build with room to fill throughout frame moving forward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a low setup behind the plate, upper body release with long transfer working to a tight release, gains some ground with lower half and gets on top of throws well to show accuracy to intended base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Small toe tap trigger for timing, patient approach and sees the ball well. Shorter swing path to the ball with natural lift to swing plane. Creates line drive contact, occasionally gets to front side early but remains balanced through swing with ability to square the ball back up the middle and to the pull side. Very good student.
