Matthew Palardy is a 2017 2B/C, 3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from New Fairfield, CT who attends New Fairfield. Medium frame with athletic build throughout, good physical projection remaining on frame. Hits with hands set tight to chest, shows good ability to use entire field and spray line drives to all fields, could stand to utilize lower half more in swing mechanics, consistently gets the barrel out, line drive swing plane with some hand speed. Will have more jump off the barrel with continued physical development. Shows very smooth fielding actions defensively, sits back on the ball some, fields cleanly and shows solid transfer and crow hop, consistently accurate throws across the diamond with infield velocity topping at 75 MPH. Shows some range to both sides, charged in well and cleared hips well to make accurate throws. Good student.
