Justin Roberto is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 5-5 110 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Villa Park HS. Young and lean build, has room to fill out with continued physical growth moving forward. Primary middle infielder, moves well to either side on ground balls with short and quick steps, made all the plays with glove, young actions, short and compact arm action, gets under throws at times, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, stays tall on backside and has moving parts to delivery, works to a low three-quarter arm slot, utilizes lower half well. Fastball topped at 72 mph, mostly true in life, and showed ability to fill up zone and pitch to contact. Flashed a curveball with sweeping life and 10-4 shape. Competes on the mound and fields position well. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base and uses a small toe tap trigger for timing. Upper body swing with a line drive swing plane, gets barrel through the zone, creates consistent contact with comfort to middle of field. Will continue to develop with maturity. Very good student.
