Joey Lake is a 2017 3B/ with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Wadsworth, IL who attends Carmel Catholic. Well built medium frame. Slightly open stance with quiet mechanics at the plate. Short, level barrel path to the ball and looks to use all fields. Tends to shift weight forward on swing. From the infield threw from a high 3/4 arm slot with smooth actions, topped at 71 mph across infield. Soft, smooth hands on balls out in front. Also pitched showing a balanced, repeatble delivery that fills the stirke zone. Slider had vertical break and was often down in the zone. Good student as well.
