Kento Suzuki is a 2017 RHP with a 5-6 154 lb. frame from Takasaki, Gunma, JPN who attends Takasaki Shokadai Fuzoku HS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build, strong lower half. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, steady tempo to delivery, slight pause at top and hides ball well in back creating good deception. Incorporates lower half well, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot, gets around the ball at times and creates cutting life, flashes downhill plane when on top of ball. Big shape to 12-6 curveball, tight rotation and shows ability to pitch backwards. Slider shows tighter rotation with some life down in zone. Has presence on the mound and keeps hitters off balance.
