Kazuhiro Okada is a 2016 IF with a 5-5 154 lb. frame from Izumi, Kagoshima, JPN who attends Izumi Chuo HS. Young, athletic frame with a lean and projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well on feet and up the middle, remains low through actions, hands play at the ball and with the backhand, quick release into a short arm action, getting on top of ball with help with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance, high hand set and shows a small weight shift through lower half. Stays short to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Uses a small leg kick trigger for timing, gets rotational at time, shows quickness to barrel through the zone and has the feel to hit to the middle and opposite fields.
