Samuel Rojas is a 2016 3B/IF, 1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends South Hills. Rosas has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he showed developing actions with developing defensive tools. Rosas has some stiffness to his actions and throws with some effort. He has developing arm strength with velocity up to 73 MPH. At the plate, Rosas has a balanced start with a shoulder width base. He uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing and has a quiet approach. Rosas has a shorter path to the baseball and showed some pop to the opposite field. He made some hard line drive contact to the middle of the field. Rosas has solid hitting tools. Very good student.
