Peter Romanello is a 2008 SS/3B/P with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Lake Zurich IL, who attends Lake Zurich. Romanello has a medium sized frame with good core strength. He has present strength with an angular build. Defensively, Romanello has a quick arm action with solid developing arm strength. He has nice hands and is aggressive to the baseball. He made an outstanding diving play on a pop up in game and is a versitle defender. At the plate, Romanello starts with a slightly closed stance and swings from a wide base. He uses a no stride approach and keeps his swing simple throughout. Romanello generates bat speed and is short to the baseball. He swings on a line drive path and has some strength in his swing. He makes consistent solid contact and stays through the ball well. Romanello pitches from a low 3/4 slot and uses a short arm action. He uses drop and drive style mechanics and gets arm side run on his fastball. Romanello is a very good student.
