Jared Silva is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-2 173 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Summer Creek HS. Large projectable frame with present functional strength that projects to hold more weight. As a pitcher, utilizes a higher leg lift and hip turn at the top of the delivery, he generates power to the plate through a high 3/4 arm slot while using a slight crossfire step to create some deception. The fastball has heavy sinking arm-side life and he commands it well topping at 85 mph. The curveball is a power breaker with 11/5 shape with late hard biting action and tight rotation. Attacks the ball well in the OF with solid footwork and glove skills, arm strength plays with accuracy and carry to the bases. Coils to load at the plate with a shorter swing through the zone to create consistent contact from a flat bat path. Good student.
