Tanner Van Lith is a 2017 3B/C/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Wenatchee, WA who attends Cashmere HS. Large frame with strongly-built present frame. Good strength throughout body. Hits from spread out, squatted stance with good rhythm and synchronization throughout swing. Shifts weight well into contact, stays balanced throughout swing, generates good bat speed and has leverage in swing. Line drive swing plane with ability to hit the ball hard to all fields, will get a bit pull-happy in approach, has ability to turn the barrel with authority and square the ball. Quick and strong hands. Worked out defensively in the infield. Fields out front well in the infield with strong defensive fundamentals, fields cleanly, shows solid one step range to both sides. Transfers cleanly and shows quick release on throws, IF velocity topped at 74 MPH. Very good student.
