Andrew Mistone is a 2008 3B/SS with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from La Verne, CA, who attends Bishop Amat High School. Mistone has a medium frame with athleticism. He has solid speed in the sixty (7.14) and on the bases. Defensively he has nice footwork on the infield that allows him to get in good position to make all the plays. Mistone has soft hands and looks very comfortable defensively. He also has an accurate arm, and he throws well on the run. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base and uses a short stride. Mistone has a nice swing and he shows bat speed through the hitting zone. He has a line drive swing plane that allows him to consistently center the ball. He is an aggressive hitter, but he still keeps his hands inside the ball giving him the ability to hit to all fields. On the mound the throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm. Mistone was not listed as a pitcher, but he did well in game action. He throws strikes with both pitches and he keeps the ball down. He is a very good student as well.
