Michael McCormick is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Croydon, PA who attends Truman HS. McCormick has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. McCormick gets his lower half closed off at balance point and he lands across his body. He cuts off his extension out front and he has developing arm speed. McCormick throws an 11/5 curveball with some shape to it. He also throws a change up at 65 MPH with some sink to it. His fastball gets some occasional cut action to it. Defensively he showed raw actions at 1B with arm strength up to 78 MPH across the diamond. At the plate, McCormick starts with a slightly closed stance with a narrow base. He has a longer swing path with developing bat speed.
