Matthew Mirabella is a 2019 MIF/RHP with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Frankfort, IL who attends Marist. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; very good projection and room to fill out remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance, leg lift trigger and closes off well into stride, barrel flattens early onto line drive swing plane, generates solid extension through contact and hands work well in swing. Shows good approach at plate with understanding of the strike zone. Worked out in the infield, sits back on the ball and fields cleanly out front with good fundamentals. Shows solid footwork around the ball, gets off accurate throws across the infield up to 73 MPH. Pitched as well, moves well through delivery with good direction to the plate, deep hook through back of arm circle generating good leverage in arm stroke. Fastball worked 67-71 MPH with good natural heaviness, found the bottom of the zone consistently and generates solid plane. Mixed in curveball with good shape and spin, also showed changeup with clean release and good arm speed. Very good student.
