James Giulietti is a 2007 LHP/1B with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Plainview NY, who attends Plainview JFK. Giulietti has a medium sized frame with a nice build. Giulietti pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He uses a slinging arm action and his arm is loose. He uses a big side step windup and throws with low effort. He gets armside run on his fastball and can command his fastball anywhere in the zone. He throws a 2/8 slider with good tilt and sweep. Giulietti spotted his slider well and uses it as a good backdoor pitch. He also throws a knuckleball with sink. At the plate, Giulietti starts with a very open stance and a high hand set. He bars his front arm and uses a high leg lift. He shifts his weight to the front side and hits off his front foot. Defensively, he has solid range at 1B and follows his throws well. He is a good student.
