Justin Levine is a 2018 2B/ with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Buchanan. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.40 sixty yard dash. Primary second baseman, rounds and surrounds the ball well with fundamental footwork from a slightly deeper position. Shows some range while on the move to glove side. Picks up the ball cleanly on groundballs out front. Throws across from a high three-quarters arm slot that produces some carry and accuracy to the bag. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance. Weight shifts to back side with a leg lift trigger. Hands load to a lower slot and launch to contact with some back side tilt. Barrel comes through the zone with natural lift through extension. Looks to lift the baseball with a line drive approach. Consistently barreled baseball to the middle of the field producing line drive, groundball contact. Tools will continue to develop with physical development and mechanical refinement. Very good student as well.
