Jomar Cortes is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Florida, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium and athletic frame with room to fill on the build. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up with an athletic base, long release with mechanical actions out of his crouched position, developing arm strength that will improve with improved lower half usage at release, 2.21 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, even base with a spread out and open stance, leg lift trigger and hand waggle at load, swings with intent to drive the baseball, quick to the baseball and long finish, smooth swing and consistently hard contact to the pull side gap during round, clears his hips and drops the barrel on the baseball.
