Carter Raney is a 2019 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Anderson HS. Recorded a 7.19 second 60-yard dash time. Compact build with some room on the frame for added strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a lower arm angle and compact stroke through release. Upper half dominant release point with some rotation of the chest. Creates some angle upon entry to the strike zone and attacks effectively. Slurve for strikes with big crossfire element to landing leg. Very tough at bat against lefthanded hitters and very deceptive while hiding the ball through release quite well. Secondary first baseman with good athleticism and a quick arm. Hands work well with some good actions and feel for the position. Lefthanded hitter with a middle of the field approach. Contact oriented swing and short, compact swing path. High contact and batting average profile. Good student.
