Shaquan Bowens is a 2019 OF/RHP, SS with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Calumet City, IL who attends Thornton Fractnl No. Medium, athletic frame with slender, young present build; high projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.51 seconds. Sets up to from slightly open stance with high hand set, leg lift timing mechanism. Shows very smooth, very easy line drive swing plane with loose hands, very good overall feel for the barrel. Squared up everything on a line to all fields, will unlock more power with continued strength gains and better incorporation of lower half into swing. Sits back on the ball and fields out front cleanly, opens hip into crow up and throws from extended three quarters arm slot, clocked up to 74 MPH. Pitched as well, compact arm action and delivery, throws from 3/4 slot with tight release out front. Threw mostly fastballs, consistently threw strikes at 68-71 MPH and got quick outs as a result. Good student.
