Dawson Delventhal is a 2019 C/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Walbridge, OH who attends Lake HS. Medium and athletic frame, room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.07 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, stays down in crouch with clean footwork into transfer, gains ground with good momentum to the bag, clean transfer from glove to hand, shows solid arm strength but throws did seem to tail a bit, 2.09 second best pop. Righthanded hitter, even base, hands draw at load, inside hand path, stays closed creating a mostly inside out swing, showed strength when he opened up and started to pull balls, mostly up the middle to opposite field approach and contact, some compact strength off of the barrel that showed up in game with a hard opposite field double. Excellent student.
