Brett Erickson is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Owasso, OK who attends Collinsville High School. Lean, athletic frame full of quick-twitch muscle, square shoulders, shows present strength to build and has additional room to fill. Strong runner, posted a 6.76 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, quick footwork allows to consistently get behind and work behind the ball, gets into a good position to throws, fields the ball out front and hands play shows, shows smoothness to actions with a quick transfer, repeats mechanics nicely, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide stance and shows a simple glide step with lower half while pulling hands back at start. Short swing path to the ball and shows quickness to hands, swings hard, does a nice job of getting the barrel to the ball and shows a feel for it. Consistent contact to pull side, contact approach with present bat speed, mostly upper body involved through swing. Excellent student.
