Martin Gavac III is a 2018 3B/1B, RHP with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Carol Stream, IL who attends Glenbard West. Medium, strong frame with good build throughout. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.66 seconds. Sets up to hit with high back elbow set, toe tap trigger to start then adjusted to leg life. Line drive swing plane, creates some torque in hips, does a good job getting the head out and flashes some ability to create strength off the barrel at contact. Worked out defensively in the infield, fields cleanly out front with good hands, clean exchanges consistently, shows good accuracy across the diamond on throws. Pitched as well, showed three-pitch mix with feel for all three. Throws from high three quarters arm slot, consistently commands ball to glove side. Fastball worked 68-74 MPH down to glove side with some angle. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and solid depth; also showed changeup with quality fade. Did a good job pitching to contact and mixing his pitches. Good student.
