Jake Buck is a 2017 C with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Bozeman, MT who attends Bozeman HS. Medium build with the beginnings of some present strength. Gets low behind the plate and blocks the ball well with athletic actions, good hands receiving the ball, has good arm strength with a two part release, 2.14 best pop time, repeats his mechanics and makes accurate throws. has the physical tools to keep improving behind the plate. Right handed hitter, straight stance with a limited shift into contact, rotational upper half swing with a short hand path to the ball, spray contact, could create more bat speed with increased lower half involvement. Good student.
