Quint Koplitz is a 2007 C/UT with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Oshkosh WI, who attends Oshkosh West. Quint has a good catchers body with a strong lower half. Quint has a flexible lower half and it really stands out when he blocks the ball. Quint has arm strength and has good actions behind plate. He sets up well behind the plate and is a good receiver. At the plate, Quint uses a no load approach and stays balanced through his swing. He has a good line drive swing path and uses a rotational approach. Quint has bat speed and has the ability to hit the ball to the opposite field on a consistent basis. Quint has very good defensive tools and should improve into a high level defensive catcher. He is also a very good student.
