Jeffery Martinez is a 2020 MIF/ with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Thornton, CO who attends Horizon High School. Compact athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.15 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed deeper funnels in the infield with athletic actions working to and through the ball. Showed clean transfers with good footwork creating momentum into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 80 miles per hour across the infield. Flashed good range to both sides of the infield including a clean backhand. Right handed hitter. Employs a upright narrow stance with a leg lift trigger. Utilizes a middle of the field line drive approach with good barrel control creating consistent line drives to the middle and pull side during batting practice. Showed the ability to get the barrel head out with good bat speed creating hard contact to the pull side at times. Good student.
