Patrick Sapp is a 2008 MIF/RHP that attends Caravel Academy and resides in Newark, DE with a 5'11", 159 lb. frame. Patrick has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. At the plate Patrick has a relaxed approach at the plate with nice power potential. Patrick drives the ball best to the middle of the field and has good bat speed. He will turn over the ball at times and needs to keep his front side on the ball longer. In the field Patrick shows solid third base tools. He has good hands and quick release on his throws. Patrick tends to wait back on the ball too much at times. On the mound Patrick has a short arm action with nice run on the ball. He shows an 11 to 5 curveball and will need to clean up his mechanics. Patrick is a solid student that could attract the attention of many small to mid-level college programs.
